School Building Constructions | HBV Plate Floor in Vancouver Canada
Rising on the ground of the University of British Columbia is a new laboratory building
using timber construction technology. The floors between the building's stories (ca. 8000 m²)
are being constructed using HBV-Plate Floor technique.
The building designers have informed themselves extensively on the current development
of the timber-concrete-composite technology in Germany. At the end, the performance
capability and the economic efficiency of the HBV-Systems have impressed and won the
Canadian developers and engineers.
Furthermore, the stairway construction for this building will also be constructed with timber.
The HSK-Systems have been commissioned as the connector between the individual elements and modules.
