Application Area | Floor Slab | "HBV-Plate Floor"

In an HBV-Plate Floor, the HBV-Shear Connector is glued into solid timber plate made of glued laminated timber. The moisture barrier for the protection of the wood is likewise completed in the manufacturing plant as well as the glazing of the wooden surfaces. At the building site, the prefabricated, large-sized construction elements are installed with the help of building crane. After the installation of the reinforcement steel mesh, the concrete plate is built. In the standard design, the bottom view of the HBV-Plate Floor shows the natural colour of glued laminated timber, this can also be customised according the wishes of the customers.

The HBV-Plate Floor exists in several variants. In the standard design, the concrete layer lies directly above the wooden plate. In special building physic requirements, namely thermal insulation or sound insulation, an interlayer of up to 3cm thick can be built in between the concrete and the wood. Span distance of up to around 12.0 m can be personalised with the HBV-Plate Floor span. For manufacture of long span load bearing structure with span distance of > 12.0m the possibility exists in the application of the HBV-Hollow Box Floor.
