A further interesting development of the wood-concrete composite solution for long span floor system is the HBV-Box Floor. It consists of concrete plate as well as wooden beam, where the HBV-Shear Connector is glued into the wooden elements in the manufacturing plant. On the bottom side of the wooden beam, a wooden plate is press glued. This can be three layered plate or in especially high structural requirements, Kerto plate. The wooden room between the wooden plate and the concrete plate can be filled with insulation materials upon request.

In the HBV-Box Floor, the lower tension reinforcement produces an improvement on the whole construction and provides the possibilities to bridge over very large span distances. The HBV-Box Floor has the characteristic looks of a perfect solid wooden floor. The bottom view can be customised after individual visual preferences. The floor elements are generally prefabricated in the manufacturing plant independent of weather conditions.
